Oskar Johannisson Gonzalez—artistically known as Magnus—is a Spanish-Swedish interdisciplinary artist working across drag, installation, sculpture, research, and curation. Their practice challenges cultural binaries—gender, materiality, and perception—using latex as both medium and metaphor to evoke the human form while critiquing rigid societal structures.

A recipient of the Higher Level Visual Arts award from the International Baccalaureate and the Distinguished Artist Scholarship for their current BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Gonzalez has exhibited internationally with the MIMUS Collective in Berlin and across Chicago at Elastic Arts, Nonation Art Lab, The Color Club, Co-Prosperity Sphere, and SAIC Galleries.

Beyond their artistic practice, Gonzalez is a Curatorial Assistant to Jesi Khadivi in Berlin, conducting risk analysis in curatorial practices and research development, and previously worked as a Research Assistant at Hua International, helping conceptualize Dyzzing Effect. At SAIC, they currently serve as a Gallery Assistant, contributing to the installation of multiple exhibitions, including the Barbara DeGenevieve show. They are also a member of the Student Renaissance Committee, the curatorial duo MagandMan, and the MIMUS Collective.
