This work started in late 2022 and has continued, it began as a question on materiality and the post industrial body. How can a material envoke the human, the artificial cosplaying as the organic. It evolved slowly into the questions of the body in relation to emmerging technologies and to the ambiguity of gender expression. As it stands now which is only moment from changing, I view latex as the uncanny anything that celebrates androgyny, ambiguity an uncomfortable at admitting one is not sure what they are looking at, what they are feeling. The latest project, Skin Archive is exploring the transcription of historic laws into latex sheets, why? because law documents are too banal, paper being used for the inscription of people?
